Barbers Road is the third stage of the Legacy Wharf project The development will include 6 buildings. The site is designated as brownfield land. On the ground floor there will be flexible commercial and small office space, along with a nursery, food store and café. On the upper floors will be circa 343 new homes, including family and affordable homes. There will be generous provision of outside space with an impressive new public square, three pocket parks, a residents’ garden and roof terraces.

The scheme will form part of the regeneration of the site in line with the local plan. It will transform it from a hectare dominated by low-quality warehouses and a waste transfer station with little ecology or green space into a vibrant community. The buildings will be constructed using durable materials that are well-detailed and thought through from a maintenance perspective. The generously planted outside spaces will create a walkable neighborhood. The site is within easy reach of Pudding Mill DLR station and Straƞord’s transport hub while London City Airport is just 12 minutes away.
